The problem with “surround yourself” mentality is the ‘who‘ at the center of it all.
It should not be about us.
Instead of surrounding ourselves with people that will lift us higher, bring out the best in us, or people that can encourage us, how about we become the first ones to…
- lift others up
- help bring out the best in others
- encourage those around us
There are more people out there who are in need than the ones willing to reach out.
Success is not all about what we have achieved for ourselves. It’s all about what we have given for the sake of others.
For it is in giving that we truly receive.
