That Elephant In The Room

Ignoring the elephant in the room won't make it go away.

It is a moral obligation
to do something
about something
worth doing something about,
at the very moment it needs done.

Ignoring it may save us.

But the moment someone else gets affected
by the very thing we choose to ignore,
that becomes the true tragedy.

For that someone is now a victim twice.

Once from the thing we ignored.

Twice from our own active ignorance.
